As close as I can figure, Aero-sault is Ace McCloud's version of Land Laser and Aqua Blazer. Like those others, it did not feature any significant improvements to the wearer's mobility and was only pictured in conjunction with components from other weapon systems, in this case Sky Knight and the generic Add-on Pack.
Again, however, we see evidence that the toy was created and prepared for release as a separate accessory weapon system
Despite the "Aero" reference in its name, Aero-sault was apparently meant to be a space-borne weapon system. It included solar panels, which are generally found on satellites and spacecraft, two hoses to equip the wearer for extra-atmospheric flight, and two reaction control thrusters which are obviously intended for use in space.
Its armaments included a springless missile launcher and two guns.
