Science Lesson: "Volcanoes" by Max.

Science Lesson[]

Max tells viewers that many islands in the Pacific Ocean were created by the volcanoes. After diving and getting close to a fault line, he explains that a volcano forms where the Earth's crust is weaker and where two layers unite or separate. The molten rock or lava emerges from the depths of the Earth giving place to the formation of great volcanic mountains.

Max concludes the lesson explaining that volcanoes eruptions happens because of the temperature and pressure on the depths of the Earth.

Curiosities[]

Similarities with Transformers - Changing Gears

There's more Power Xtreme than meets the eye in "Malfunction".

  • This episode shares similarities with the episode "Changing Gears" from the 1985 cartoon The Transformers. Both episodes involve in sabotaging one of the characters to steal something; Hacker sabotaging Ace's Exoframe in order to steal the X-150 missile, just like Megatron did with Gears by altering his grumpy personality to a more cheerful one in order to drain the Sun's power with the Solar Needle.
  • In the spanish dub of the series, this is the first episode which was called "Problemas de..." being Broken Beams the second one using the same part of the title as it was released as "Problemas de Transmisión" (Transmission Problems).

Superhuman Centurions[]

  • Apparently, the complete destruction of a volcanic island doesn't affect the ears of the Centurions (and the island survivors) if we realized that an island-shattering explosion would generate a noise powerful enough to shatter the eardrums of those around miles.

Foreign names[]
